1st time I saw this one in a theatre was in college, 1992 when they released the "Director's Cut". A great experience.

Got to see the Final Cut in Manhattan in Oct 07. Probably the best experience I had in a theatre - the image was perfectly framed, the sound was pulsing & the colors were perfectly pitched & vibrant b/c the projection was digital.

I have never yet seen this film in a cinema, but the final cut is being shown at the BFI Imax in London next month. Just booked my tickets!

I saw this at Wheeler Hall at UC Berkeley in the Fall of 1983/Spring of 1984. My roommate and I went to see it and when we left all we could say was WHOA!!!

I saw this in the theater when it was released in 1982. I was 12. It was so awesome it blew me away! I told friends about it, but it didn't do well in the theater. I couldn't understand it.

I saw the 1992 Director's Cut in the theater, too. But I did not see the Final Cut in the theaters, only on DVD. Oh, well...

I saw the original version in 1982 in Germany (dubbed) as well as the Directors cut (also dubbed) in 1992. This movie influenced my life like probably no other. The 1982 German dubbing added a sound that was as weird as the optical part. Great movie

Saw it in 1982 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina while I was an ROTC cadet in college. Requested it at my college and watched it a few more times on the college big screen. Have seen every version and owned it on all formats. Now I thoroughly enjoy it on Blu-ray in my home theater.

I only saw the Final Cut. On DVD. It looks like the type of film that needs to be shown in a theater.

I saw it the summer of '82 when my biking group needed a place to come in out of the rain. It made an unbelievable impression on this then-16-yr-old girl. Still does.
You've got to see it in the theatre...

I saw the Final Cut when it was released theatrically in NYC at the Ziegfeld Theatre in October 2007 - it remains the best cinematic experience I've ever had. The theatre was huge, the 8K digital print was flawless and the surround sound was state-of-the-art. It literally felt like you were there in that world of 2019 L.A.

i saw it in the theatre @ bayview village, must have been around 15, a classic now but not fully understood at the time i think, like clockwork or eraserhead & now with all these alternate endings...
one of the best lines ever, "the candle that burns twice as bright, can only burn half as long", still quote it today...

I saw this film at the now defunct Westerly Drive In in July/ August 1982 with my family in a green VW bus. It was showing with Barbarella, a campy sci-fi flick starring Jane Fonda. I saw The Final Cut years later on VCR.

I saw the original version in 1982, at the Loew's Showboat theater in Edgewater, NJ when I was about 14 (my friend's dad took us), and I saw the final cut in 2008 at the Loew's Jersey in Jersey City, a restored movie palace that shows classic films.
