We first saw brow bands (so defined by Fairchild’s all-encompassing Fashion Dictionary) on Marc Jacobs’ fall 2008 runway but assumed that it was a styling trick. We never thought wearing a headband sweatband-style would actually translate to the Hollywood crowd and the streets. The allure escapes us; not to mention, it leaves a rather pesky indent on your forehead and an unsightly crease in your hair. We think it’s one trend that should have been left on the runway.
